Getting Around
Gazi is a walkable neighbourhood, with plenty of restaurants and bars just minutes from the door and the Technopolis cultural centre a comfortable 16-minute walk away. Metaxourgeio Metro Station is about 800 m away — roughly a 12-minute walk along streets with sidewalks. Kerameikos station, about a 13-minute walk away, sits directly on Metro Line 3 — the same line that runs straight through to Athens International Airport, about an hour door-to-door with no transfer required. Metaxourgeio station is also on Line 2, which continues, with no transfer, to Akropoli station beside the Acropolis itself — a metro alternative to the roughly 37-minute walk there on foot. Several bus and trolley lines operate around Gazi, and taxis and ride-hailing apps are widely used and affordable.
